An Introduction to the expanding field of Image Processing. Psycho physical properties of Human Vision, Image Perception, Image Enhancement and Restoration, Image Analysis, Image Compression and Machine Vision will be some of the topics covered. The course aims to bring maturity in the design and analysis of Image Processing algorithms and techniques and their use.
Prerequisites:
Assignments will typically be handed out in the first class of the week and will be due in the first class of the following week. Solutions will be posted within two weeks. In parallel longer duration projects will also be handed out. Late assignments will not be graded. Innovative and good ideas presented in solutions to assignments will be rewarded with bonus marks.
