In this animation the movement of the story is shown on four interacting axes:

  • the meaning of the words
  • the movement of the words (in a classic growth pattern)
  • the size of the words (growing and then shrinking again)
  • the color of the words (brown to green to brown)
Each of these axes of meaning has symbolic and cultural significance. Would the animation "work" if any of these axes were missing or reversed? What would your emotional reaction be if the words stayed the same size or color, or stayed in the same position? Would you have "got" the story if a moving point was used instead of the words?

As with the "A Man" story, the actual text of this story is very simple:

seed grow age seed
What does this presentatation add? Does it add anything you find interesting, compelling, satisfying or useful? Is it more memorable? If it is, why is that true?
