This is a presentation given by Cynthia Kurtz in June 1999 reviewing a few fields related to story use and presenting some ideas for enabling storytelling communities. The presentation is divided into four parts: story representation, story deconstruction and indexing, virtual communities and storytelling, and a specific set of ideas for a storytelling community.
