Biographical sketches of authors

Greg Flurry   IBM Software Group Technology Center, 11400 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas 78758 (electronic mail: flurry@us.ibm.com). Mr. Flurry is a Senior Technical Staff Member with a background that includes interactive graphics hardware and software development, interactive multimedia hardware and software development, “thin client” computing, and Java development for IBM's Advanced Interactive Executive™ (AIX™) operating system. He has 20 patents in these areas. His current responsibilities include definition and prototyping of technologies that support highly scalable e-business applications, and include integrating these and other technologies into the IBM Application Framework for e-business and the Software Group products that implement the Framework.

Wayne Vicknair   IBM Software Group Technology Center, 11400 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas 78758 (electronic mail: waynev@us.ibm.com). Mr. Vicknair is a senior software engineer with a background in network protocols, operating system internals, and object-oriented systems. His current responsibilities include definition and prototyping of technologies that support pluggable, service-oriented architectures and APIs for application service providers with a focus on user registration and billing services.
