Biographical sketch of author

Kuan-Tsae Huang IBM Business Transformation and CIO, Rockwood Road, Sleepy Hollow, New York 10591 (electronic mail huangkt@us.ibm.com). Dr. Huang is Vice President of the IBM Web Applications Lab. He was formerly the Director of Knowledge Management and Asset Reuse, IBM Global Services, where he was in charge of the development and deployment of knowledge management and asset reuse. Dr. Huang received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has published numerous papers, books, and patents, and he is a frequent speaker at conferences and marketing events. He was invited to serve as a conference committee member at the 1994 World IFIP Congress. Dr. Huang is coauthor of a book on quality information and knowledge to be published by Prentice Hall in 1998.
