Joshua R. Smith
MIT Media Laboratory, 20 Ames Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02139-4307 (electronic mail: jrs@media.mit.edu). Mr. Smith is a Ph.D. candidate and research assistant in the Physics and Media Group of the MIT Media Laboratory, and is interested in the physics of information and computation. He has an M.S. from the Media Laboratory, a B.A. Hons. in natural sciences (physics and theoretical physics) from Cambridge University, and a double B.A. in computer science and philosophy from Williams College. He has had internships at the Santa Fe Institute, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Yale University Department of Computer Science, the Williams College SMALL Geometry Research Group, and NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
