Dr. Labbi is CRM Research Leader at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory. His research, teaching, and consulting activities in the last 15 years have been focused on quantitative approaches to the optimization of various business processes, especially in the CRM and risk management areas for several industries. He has published more than 40 papers in international business and scientific journals and conferences and holds several patents, including a patent for the IBM Customer Equity Lifetime Management Solution (CELM), which was awarded the 2005 Best Practice Prize of the INFORMS Society for Marketing Science (ISMS).
Cesar Berrospi IBM Research Division, Zurich Research Laboratory, Säumerstrasse 4, 8803 Rüschlikon, Switzerland (ceb zurich.ibm.com). Mr. Berrospi is a researcher at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory. He has also worked as a consultant at Accenture in Barcelona, Spain. He holds an M.S. degree in mathematics from the Technical University of Catalonia, Spain, and an M.S. degree in mathematical engineering from Ecole Polytechnique, France, and Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland. Mr. Berrospi has received an IBM Research Division Award and the 2005 INFORMS Society for Marketing Science Practice Prize. His research interests and publications are primarily in the areas of data mining, customer segmentation, campaign management, and marketing portfolio optimization.
