Stefan Pichler was appointed Executive Vice President for Lufthansa German Airlines on April 1, 1997. His career in Lufthansa began in 1989 and since then he has held a number of sales and marketing management positions including the Paris based position of Lufthansa's VP for France. He returned to Frankfurt in 1995 and assumed responsibility for developing the airline's global sales policy and in 1996 was appointed Senior Vice-President Sales for Germany.
