Barbara Martin was named Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain, Development and Deployment in December 1998. In this position she is responsible for defining the strategy and architecture for ISC in IBM, as well as the development and deployment of supply chain processes, IT and tools. She has responsibility for the investments IBM makes in these processes and IT, both centrally and within the Business Units. This involves working within a matrix management system with the Business Units to define, prioritize and oversee the projects to support IBM's achievement of supply chain metric objectives and to optimize investments and results across IBM.
