Mike Lawrie has been General Manager, IBM Europe Middle East Africa since June 1998. He has revenue and profit responsibility for IBM's sales, distribution and services operating in 124 countries, and also provides executive leadership to the 75,000 IBM employees located in EMEA. Prior to this position he was General Manager of IBM's Network Computing Software Division where he was responsible for the development and marketing of the e-Network products, Java iniatives, OS/2 servers and server based offerings.

Mr. Lawrie has served on various boards in communities where he has resided and is currently a member of the boards of the Tokyo Research Laboratory, IBM Europe Middle East Africa, and IBM Eurocoordination.
