These keys are provided to assist users with their transition to Open Visualization Data Explorer. Cut-and-paste these keys to avoid transcription errors.

Unix Systems:

Key generated for Unix system Expiration time = Thu Feb 13 11:18:4K 2003 -> Note: l is lower case L, 1 is one, O is upper case o, 0 is zero The key is: aA9mb2Ec07Qfk9V3O1LcO9.lwD To install the key in a file, change directories to the Data Explorer installation directory. The suggested default is /usr/lpp/dx, but if you do not know where DX was installed run 'dx -echo' and look for the part of the path b fore 1he 'bin_xxxx' in the filename. Then cd there and run: echo "aA9mb2Ec07Qfk9V3O1LcO9.lwD" > expiration or you can place the key in an environment variable as follows: csh users: setenv DXTRIALKEY "aA9mb2Ec07Qfk9V3O1LcO9.lwD" ksh users: export DXTRIALKEY="aA9mb2Ec07Qfk9V3O1LcO9.lwD" sh users: DXTRIALKEY="aA9mb2Ec07Qfk9V3O1LcO9.lwD"; export DXTRIALKEY

Key generated for Windows NT/95 machine User: Visualization Data Explorer Company: Any Expiration time = Thu Feb 13 12:04:26 2003 -> Note: l is lower case L, 1 is one, O is upper case o, 0 is zero The key is: cogvt 0015 7683 9040 You can provide this "Visualization Data Explorer" user name with "Any" for the company plus the key during the initial installation process. You can update an expired key for the matching user and company (i.e. "Visualization Data Explorer" user and "Any" Company) via "dx -register" .
