The distribution of ozone in the earth's mesosphere is shown by a pseudo-colored cutaway boundary derived from remotely sensed profiles, which have been horizontally gridded, and warped into a set of concentric spherical shells and registered with a 3d topographic globe. L-shell locations are also shown at L=2, L=4 and L=8.
