Interaction with numerically predicted upper air and surface weather conditions.

A screen dump of an application to study the output of a regional weather model being used for weather forecasting for the Olympics. Temperature is shown as pseudo-color, filled-contour bands on north-south vertical slices. Surface temperature is shown as a pseudo-color surface, which is deformed into pressure space to properly register it vertically with the volumetric data. All of the parameters are registered with a pseudo-colored terrain map overlaid with coastline, river and state boundary maps. The surface temperature is also shown in a second image as a pseudo-color field overlaid with vector arrows of horizontal winds, pseudo-color contours of surface humidity and coastline, river and state boundary maps.
