This is a single time step from a 12 month animation that shows the monthly precip totals for 760 different collections points in South Florida. The political boundaries(counties yellow state black), roads(red), canals(blue) were all ARC/Info data sets that were converted into Data Explorer format using the gis2dx conversion tool. The 760 precip values are collected rainfall totals, one for each square mile of Southern Fla. With Data Explorer we were able to georeference the rainfall point data with the ARC/Info coverages and then create a 12 month animation showing the rainfall patterns for each month of the year. The data and coverages were provided by South Florida Water Management District.
