This is a time series of the wildfire history for the state of Montana in 1994. This work was a joint project of IBM and US Forest Service. The glyph size and color indicate the amount of acreage burned in the fire. The time series only covers the most active fire days. The original data was archived in an Oracle data base, the data was extracted from Oracle and visually analyzed utilizing Data Explorer.
