Game 6, white
6.Bd3

Commentary for white move 6:

GK MOVE: 5...Ngf6

MAURICE ASHLEY: Kasparov has in fact moved, playing his knight on g8 to f6.

MIKE VALVO: You know, it's interesting. People may be wondering --

DB MOVE: 6 Bd3

MIKE VALVO: -- why Garry is taking so long to make almost forced moves. Why do you think this is the case, Yasser?

YASSER SEIRAWAN: In this particular situation the opening is now become established. He was unsure of what Deep Blue was going to play on the third move. Deep Blue had lots of choices, the advanced Caro, the Panov Botvinnik, with the exchange of pawns on d5. So he wasn't absolutely sure he was going to get this position. He's now got the position. And he's preparing himself for the kind of battle that we've been talking about, a strategic battle.
