Game 3, white
19.Bh3
Commentary for white move 19:
YASSER SEIRAWAN: As I'm busily destroying Fritz's analysis, let
me just say that Roman you have a great deal of understanding
with computers.
DB MOVE: dxc4.
GK MOVE: 19 Bh3.
YASSER SEIRAWAN: Wow. What was your impression of the
move Kh8
by the way?
ROMAN DZINDZIHASHVILI: No, I don't like Kh8. Obviously it
wasn't for the idea of playing Ng8, because if computer wanted
to play Ng8 with the idea of Bg5, then it could have played
just Nh7. The knight doesn't have to go to g8. It was one of
those waiting moves.
YASSER SEIRAWAN: Well, let me just interrupt you for a moment,
Roman. We have this new move Bh3 by Garry. This strikes me as
quite surprising. The idea is you're attacking the queen, but
at the same time Garry is allowing the move Nxf3+. What is
going on tactically after Nxf3+?
ROMAN DZINDZIHASHVILI: Qxf3 Qxf3 Bxf3 Bxd7 Nxd7 Rb7 Rad8
Nd5
Bg5.
Sorry, we're losing our audience a bit, because the Grandmasters
are getting mesmerized. Did Garry just blunder a pawn? You
know, what's going on? This is a pawn.
ROMAN DZINDZIHASHVILI: Actually the main thing I wanted to talk
about when I came up here, it was not about this game, but now
this game became so interesting that I don't know how I can go
to the final position of second game which I totally disagree
that there is a draw. (Lot of ooooing by the audience.)
YASSER SEIRAWAN: That is a statement. Tell us about it.
