Game 2, black 18...Nh7
Commentary for black move 18:
If you don't mind for a moment I would like to just go back to
how we got here. I gave you my great sorry about equilibrium.
We'll continue Nf3 attacking the e5 pawn. Nc6, defending the
pawn. Bb5. If you think about it, this move is so logical, so
pristine in its understanding. The knight defends the pawn.
The bishop develops in order to attack the knight and prepare
the capture of the pawn. Black shows no fear and attack's
white's bishop. White's bishop retreats. Why? Why does
white's bishop retreat? Why doesn't white capture this knight,
forcing the recapture? Now the pawns are doubled. This is
knowns the Ruy Lopez Exchange Variation, and immediately
pounce
by capturing the pawn on e5? Hasn't white just won a pawn?
