That is why we have formed an advisory board of leading academic and industry experts to help define our autonomic research agenda. The Board consists of roughly ten members from academia and five from industry who work together with IBM Research to
stimulate interest in autonomic computing issues of
relevance within and across their respective fields
help define appropriate research agendas and curricula
work with IBM to initiate or influence appropriate workshops and conferences
contribute insights on what are the relevant problems
endorse and legitimize autonomic computing within industry and academia
